The Important Things

My Grandma Miller's idea of gun control was a steady grip and a fine bead.  When I was young, she would wait for two chickens to cross, then shoot their heads off with one shot.  The family was poor, and bullets were expensive.

After Grandpa died she hunted squirrels, groundhogs, and rabbits.  Davey Crockett was her ancestor and she proved it.  Her family didn't have a lot, a well for water, an outhouse for, well you know, and eight kids to feed; but she and Grandpa always put food on the table, and the house was filled with love.

On second thought, maybe they were rich after all.
